My Thoughts and Rating:
If you have read Any of the Gifted Series, you will definitely appreciate this prequel. Seeing how the guys were when they first started and how they have grown as a team is exciting to say the least. I believe the Author also dropped a hint that has to do with Robert but then again, that could just be my wishful thinking.
This story doesn't go into a whole lot of detail but that is the whole point. To give you some insight and maybe a little tease. I enjoyed reading it & I believe you would too. As always, I can't wait to read the next installment of this Series & If you haven't started reading them yet, I recommend in doing so.

Very short, but a lot of information. I love the information it added to understanding the rest of the series. There were as many "aha" moments as there were pages. This is definitely necessary reading for tfd rest of the series.
It's waaaaaay too short! I get that it's a novelette, but the 8 chapters are all quite short. Just as you get into the story it's over. I've always been a quick reader, but I read this in under an hour.
Great story concept, individuals with special abilities, passed down from an Atlantis origin. very nice character development. It seemed to be YA intended, and I was glad that it didn't contain any graphic sex encounters. I find that the details provided in this story make the sequel more desirable. like the fact that they didn't totally embarrass themselves at the end by going beyond their authority. It seems they are going to be an effective teem to follow in their adventures.
This is a prequel novella to The Gifted Series. We are introduced to a world of magic and a group of four fun characters, Nick, Robert, Jason and Ryan. Each have their own special abilities and talents, even if some of that entails flirting with girls on a college campus. We follow Nick and his friends on their first assignment in the field and I hope there are many more to come!!!
Experiments let's you get a glimpse at how her amazing world started. I loved seeing the guys out on their first mission and seeing if they were ready to handle situations on their own. You learned about their friendships and got to see them before they became ex friends. Char Websters writing was right on point as always and of course had you captivated in her world of gifted characters. If I hadn't already read her series this book would definitely make me want to read them, I might just read them again after reading this!
This was a thoroughly enjoyable book. It provided information about the boys from the Gifted Society while they were still at the Academy, but ready to go out on a mission supervised. They were each born with special gifts, and now someone is trying to reproduce those gifts illicitly. The camaraderie and playfulness between the young men, when they see the number of females at the university, is a sure sign that boys will be boys no matter where they are reared. If you have not read Char Webster's Gifted Society, this is a wonderful beginning. It leaves you wanting more. Who is trying to reproduce the DNA characteristics? Can they be stopped? I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an Advanced review copy. I also purchased a copy of the book.
As prequel to the Gifted series this background glimpse into the friendship between Nick, Robert, Ryan and Jason is a valuable contribution. The simultaneous introduction of the alluring Rembrandt also comes into play.
The fact that a University would do DNA experiments and even refer to Atlantis elements is a big surprise.
Having dealt with the aforementioned like some dry dissertation the story is actually devoid of such high pursuits of intellectual property. It was actually fun to follow the interaction of a group of pretend students whilst on a mission. I am not sure who hunted whom in the battle of the sexes but this was rather entertaining. Enjoy
